Numerex announced yesterday that it has acquired the assets of Orbit One Communications, a provider of satellite data products and services to government agencies and emergency services markets. Numerex says it will operate the business through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Orbit One Communications, LLC.

Orbit One provides customized satellite-based M2M solutions for high-value assets, including hardware, software, data management, installation and maintenance, and a proprietary operational support platform.
