M2M Releases New Field Data Collection Service

M2M Data Corporation today announced the release of its new field data collection service called Intelligent Data Acquisition (iDA™). The new iDA™ service uses M2M software running on a laptop or PDA to allow operators, technicians, pumpers and engineers to collect field data for upload to M2M's iSCADA® remote monitoring and control service. iDA™ is an economical alternative to M2M's satellite-based telemetry for the collection of data for which it is not necessary to provide real-time updates.

Technicians enter field data using an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) on an scheduled or ad hoc basis. The full functionality of M2M's iSCADA® service is available to the user once the data has been uploaded via a secure and authenticated Internet link.
