International M2M Conference

"M2M and the Internet of Things: Where Machines Talk" is is a two-day conference designed to facilitate exchange of views among European M2M decision makers and specialists with a particular focus on long and short range wireless.

From the press release:

"The focus of the M2M market is now shifting from the enabling technologies towards the ser-vices that can now be created by using them where the true value lies. This is a seismic shift that promises huge new revenue opportunities. Recent research just published by Beecham Research indicates that the services market associated with M2M is already a $50bn business worldwide that uses a wide range of both fixed and wireless technologies, and has the potential to grow to $250bn in the next five years. Often portrayed as a small business, these figures illustrate that this is not the case for M2M. This is the background for the emergence of the Internet of Things."
