Arcom Gets SouthernLINC Certification for ZyWAN

Arcom announced today that the ZyWAN cellular router is now certified on the SouthernLINC Wireless network.

The ZyWAN wireless router is targeted at telemetry, Internet access and mobile computing applications. The ZyWAN enables Internet and data access at high speeds wherever cellular coverage is available. The ZyWAN offers serial device ports as well as Wi-Fi for wireless data transfer from remote devices.

The SouthernLINC Wireless network covers more than 128,000 square miles encompassing major metro and rural areas in Alabama, Georgia, southeastern Mississippi and northwest Florida. SouthernLINC Wireless was founded in 1996 and was designed to meet the communications needs of Southern Company's electric utilities including Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power and Mississippi Power. The company also serves a wide range of businesses, consumers and public sector agencies.
