The M2M Magazine web site has news of an interesting Wyless/ABB deal:

“Wyless PLC, Uxbridge, U.K., announced it signed a deal with ABB Robotics, Zurich, Switzerland, to deliver a remote service to enable production lines to maintain round the clock operation.

Through the new remote service, provided over the Wyless global wireless data network, Wyless says ABB aims to extend the uptime of its installed base of more than 160,000 robots and lower the overall cost of ownership through pro-active maintenance and reduction in production disturbances.”
