The information that is collected from the remote equipment, devices, assets, machinery, etc. can be saved on the AVIDdirector controller itself and collected periodically, or create applications which make a determination as to which information you would like to send and when to send it. The information can be viewed in any number of ways or may be integrated directly with your current information support systems.”

Sixnet Announces New BT-6000 Series Cellular Modems

Sixnet has announced a new generation of cellular data modems targetsixnet-1ing the M2M, telemetry, and SCADA markets. The products Offer high speed internet connectivity over cellular networks. Each modem has application specific functionality to fulfill application demands. The units are ruggedized industrial (Class 1 Div 2) gateways that provide wireless TCP/IP connectivity to remote devices.

M2M-capable Controller from Moxa

Moxa has announced the launch of the new ioLogik E4200 Acmoxa4200-1tive Ethernet modular I/O. The ioLogik E4200 supports up to 16 I/O modules with a maximum of 256 DI/DO points or 64 AI/O points. Its slice form factor provides more flexibility and expanding availability for various application requirements. This new modular I/O is also more intelligent than previous models and supports 80 Click&Go rule-sets. The unit also provides two independent Ethernet LANs for network redundancy, and one serial port to connect with GSM/CDMA modems for SMS communication.

Digi’s competitively priced Rabbit-based BL2100 SBC includedigi-1s 40 digital I/O, 11 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs and 4 serial ports. Ethernet and keypad/display are available options. The Ethernet interface is supported by software to enable network and Internet connectivity. Units start at $184 each in quantities of 25.
